Language courses

What is it

If you want to learn a foreign language this is the way to go.

There is no age limit, this is to remind you that is never too early or too late to learn a new skill or language. You can choose 1 week program or 1 year, it’s up to you. It’s open all year around, you can go in a group or as an individual.

The best thing about language schools is that you can combine learning a new language with other activities, any activity you can think about, from ski, dancing, performing arts, science, football, you name it. You can also do exam preparations or English for specific purposes, like business, aviation and so on.

You can choose a course according with your language proficiency or the target you want to achieve and although most courses cover listening, speaking, writing and reading, if you prefer you can focus more on a specific component. You can do a placement test to check your current level.

Benefits

Benefits

Language impacts our daily lives, the ability to communicate in multiple languages is now more than never a must have skill in the increasingly integrated global community. A bilingual experience can improve the brain’s executive function (what we use for planning, solving problems and other demanding tasks). Being able to do this puts any multilingual person way ahead of their peers in an academic or professional setting.

Advance your career

It is not a cliché; you are aware that you have higher chances of employment nowadays if you speak more than one language. You will be able to communicate and interact with more clients and companies, those skills are incredibly valuable and harder to replace which can also make a difference in your wage! It also shows that you are driven to acquire new skills, that will give you a competitive edge.

Get smarter!

Research has shown that speaking more than one language increases the number of neural pathways in the brain, and as mentioned before improves development in the brain’s areas of executive function and attention. You will also improve your memory and attention span retaining more information.

As you move from one language to another, you enhance your multitasking abilities. You will become more rational, have better decision-making skills and be more perceptive of your surroundings. It will see your own language improved as you will learn the mechanics and structure behind any language.

Connect with other cultures

Learn about other cultures, their country, their people and enjoy their traditions and customs, their entertainment. With enough training you will not need subtitles and the bad dubbing.

You will discover their history, their past, share their victories and goals and experience, in no time you will start seeing the world through their eyes. You start understanding better your own culture becoming more appreciative.

See the world

Remove the language barriers and increase your options of studying or living where you want in the world. Learning a new language offers you freedom. Travelling through a country becomes easier and fun if you know the language, locals appreciate the effort, it shows respect and it is great to meet new people and better deals.

Go to the source?

Look for information in a new language, you will be surprised. Interesting topics exposed differently because of the cultural differences. Searching in just one language restricts you, so go straight to the source.

Become a polyglot

When you start learning a new language, you’re increasing your ability to replicate the process with multiple languages, by using the same acquisition techniques. Your brain will learn how to process different linguistic structures. Are you thinking about a 3rd language already?

Boost your confidence

Every time you master a new skill your confidence increases. When learning a new language this has a long-lasting effect as everyday you learn something new about the culture or the language itself and you get to put in practice every day, in real life situations.  (actually learning a new language has the effect of stimulating the same part of the brain as eating chocolate…)

Increase Network and new friends

While doing these experiences you will meet people from every corner of the world, you will build lasting friendships and increase your networking, it could be an open door to a new country in a near future.

“the limits of your language are the limits of your world,” Austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein
